We would like to take a moment to say farewell to one of our clients, Dan McKinnon. Mr. McKinnon passed away on November 22, 2012 from neuroendocrine cancer. Mr. McKinnon led a fascinating life. Just to mention a few of his accomplishments: he was a Navy pilot, radio station owner, government official and airline president. Mr. McKinnon served in the Navy's first helicopter squadron, HU-1 and holds the Navy's peacetime helicopter rescue record of 62 air/sea saves. He owned and operated KSON radio for 23 years. He worked for President Reagan as the chairman of the Civil Aeronautics Board, and was responsible for deregulating the airline industry. He also worked for the CIA on some special projects for which he was awarded the Agency Seal Medallion. You can read more about Mr. McKinnon in the San Diego Union Tribune published on November 27, 2012. We will all miss him.
